Why We Love the Remote 12R

Here’s a fun little game to play with the Remote 12R. Grab the order sheet, find the options list, and try to spend some money. You can’t. There’s exactly one box to check — a second 200-watt solar panel — and everything else you’d normally pay extra for is already sitting in the trailer, included. Solar, tankless water heater, dry bath, air conditioner, microwave-convection-air-fryer. Standard, standard, standard.

Oh, and it all rides in a trailer that’s 16 feet 8 inches long (tongue and all) and weighs 2,629 pounds. That’s the part PJ couldn’t get over in the walkthrough, and honestly, neither could we.

The “Wait, That’s Standard?” Tour

The Remote 12R is under 17 feet, but step inside and it plays a lot bigger. Credit the crowned roof — 6’5″ of headroom down the middle — which opens the whole space up and sheds rain and snow while it’s at it. Behind you is a comfortable 54×75 bed with a surprisingly nice firm mattress, and above it, netted storage over a foot deep for all your clothes.

Then you hit the kitchen and the surprises keep coming. Dark gray countertops and cabinets, a square aluminum sink with a roll-out dish rack, a two-burner glass-top stove with a cast-iron grate, and cabinet handles with a little texture to them that you’d never expect at this price. There’s a double-door fridge with a travel lock, a microwave/convection/air-fryer combo so you’re not hauling around extra cookware, and a 10,000 BTU air conditioner that’ll hold its own in the Texas heat. The lights are all push-button — tap the one you want, no hunting for switches.

Instead of a bulky dinette, you get a counter bar with genuinely comfy padded chairs and a huge window right in front of it. That window is a big reason this camper never feels cramped.

The Dry Bath Nobody Expects

This is the headline trick. A real dry bath — separate toilet and shower — in a trailer this short. You get a corner toilet with room to move, a rectangular shower with a skylight that buys you back a few inches of height, a real nylon shower curtain (not the cheap plastic kind), a medicine cabinet, and a 12-volt fan for when it gets steamy. Tank heaters are included too, feeding some seriously big tanks for the size: 52 gallons fresh, 27 gray, 27 black.

Built to Go, and Go Off-Grid

Under the pretty finishes, the Remote is built right. You’ve got a fiberglass front cap, aluminum framing, and a double-Azdel laminated sidewall — Azdel on the outside and the inside, which makes the wall impervious to water and very sturdy. There’s a full pass-through up front (with a lockable box and even fishing-pole holders), a Fogatti tankless water heater so you never run out of hot, a hot-and-cold outdoor shower, and that 200-watt solar panel on the roof keeping your battery topped off wherever you park.

A few of PJ’s favorite little touches: a peephole in the entry door (so you can skip the big window you have to cover at night), a lighted logo at the steps that doubles as a nightlight, a Bluetooth speaker with a home of its own, a powered awning, and a Starlink pre-wire ready when you are.

Why We Love the Remote 12R

Add it all up and the Remote 12R lands right in the sweet spot Princess Craft loves best: light enough to tow with the vehicle you already own, easy enough to make your first trailer, and loaded enough that you’re not giving up a single comfort to get there. The only real decision left is whether you want that second solar panel — and where you’re headed first.
